This is one of my favorite weeks of the whole year – I am currently in Orlando with over 200 incredible travel professionals for Gifted Travel Network’s 2025 Conference! The timing felt perfect for me to share Brittani Robertson’s success story from our conversation on The Travel Business Unpacked podcast, as she was one of the five advisor panelists who took the stage this past Monday.

This panel, titled “Your Business, Designed: How GTN Advisors Are Building Intentional Businesses” also featured Krista Nannery (Antidote Travel), Keely Culpepper (Blue Venture Travel), Laney Sachs (Ortensia Blu Travel Adventures), and Laura Young (Laura Young Travel), and was moderated by the amazing Kristin Matthews, our VP of Professional Development. Brittani was a perfect fit for this panel, as her story perfectly captures what so many entrepreneurs are striving for – a thriving business that enhances rather than consumes our personal lives.

Brittani's journey with B Luxe Escapes didn't start with industry connections or extensive travel credentials. It began with something far more relatable: a mom who loved planning trips for friends and family, slowly realizing she had a passion worth monetizing. From there, she deliberately crafted a business model that works for a mother of four.

Like many new entrepreneurs, Brittani initially fell into the “always-on” trap. Spending late nights answering emails, weekend client calls, and business thoughts consuming family time, all part of the classic recipe for burnout that derails so many promising ventures.

The turning point came when she recognized the early warning signs and made a decision that seemed almost radical in our hustle-obsessed culture; work would only happen between 10 AM and 4 PM, while her kids were in school. Period.

This wasn't about working less but instead working with intention. That six-hour window became sacred, focused, and remarkably productive. When you know your time is limited, every hour counts. Client calls became more efficient, decision-making accelerated, and the quality of her work improved because she was fully present during business hours.

Beyond her impressive boundaries and time management, Brittani has created a visual brand that does the heavy lifting of attracting her ideal clients. Her signature pink aesthetic, balanced with luxury neutrals, creates an instantly recognizable presence that feels both personal and professional.

Her Instagram strategy exemplifies smart, sustainable marketing. By batch-scheduling her content a month in advance and posting twice weekly, she maintains consistent visibility without the daily pressure that overwhelms so many advisors. Using AI tools like ChatGPT for content ideation, she's created a system that showcases her family adventures, client experiences, and travel expertise in a way that converts followers into bookings.

This approach challenges the myth that successful travel advisors need to be constantly creating content or maintaining a 24/7 online presence. Brittani proves that strategic, planned content can be just as effective as constant posting, and is far more sustainable for busy parents.

Brittani's credibility doesn't come from having visited every luxury destination or maintaining an extensive network of industry contacts, but instead from authentically living the travel lifestyle she sells to clients. Family vacations, couples retreats, annual friend trips… All of her personal experiences make her professional recommendations feel genuine rather than manufactured.

This authentic approach resonates with clients who can sense the difference between someone who's read about destinations and someone who's actually navigated them with their own family. Her travel experiences aren't manufactured for social media; they are real, lived experiences that naturally enhance her expertise.

Watching Brittani on that GTN panel, surrounded by other advisors who've designed businesses around their actual lives, validated something powerful that I have been saying for many years, which is that success in the travel industry doesn't require sacrificing everything else that matters to you. Clear boundaries, strategic branding, and authentic expertise can create sustainable success that enhances your whole life.

Sometimes the most revolutionary business strategy is simply refusing to let work consume the life you're trying to build.
